A Reggio-Inspired Montessori Program

Both the Montessori and Reggio Emilia educational approaches believe in the dogma “follow the child”, and offer specially prepared learning environments where children are free to explore and play with things that are of interest to them. We believe that the blending of these two constructivist educational philosophies, and inclusion of STEAM activities creates a program that focuses on the development of the whole child through experiences in social, cognitive, emotional and physical development; while also fostering independence, positive self-concept, innovation, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving – all important in supporting all the developmental and intellectual needs of the 21st century learner.

We believe children are…

Our Master Educators use methods of observation and documentation to make learning visible by means of photography, videography, written dialogue and long-term projects – shared through story-like documentation and daily e-reports.

Under the care and supervision of Master Educators and Child Care Assistants, children are viewed as competent individuals who possess special abilities, talents, interests and values. In addition to our daily program of emergent learning, we offer weekly classes in Kids Yoga, Reggio-Kids Music, and Intro French!

Scientists have recently determined that it takes approximately 400 repetitions to create a new synapse in the brain – unless it is done with play, in which case, it takes between 10 and 20 repetitions!
